All integration courses take place in our training center in Duisburg.
The integration course is a state-funded German course consisting of two main components: a language course and an orientation course. The language course typically comprises 600 teaching units and systematically guides you from the basics to level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The integration course follows a well-designed modular structure. It begins with the basic course, covering language levels A1 and A2. This is followed by the advanced course, leading to level B1. Each of these modules includes 100 teaching units that are carefully built upon each other. After successful completion of the language part, you participate in the orientation course, which comprises another 100 teaching units. In this course section, you acquire comprehensive knowledge about the German legal system, the historical development of Germany, and the cultural characteristics of the country.
The primary goal of the integration course is to acquire comprehensive German language skills that enable you to independently manage everyday life in Germany. You learn to communicate confidently in various life situations, understand formal documents, and participate in social activities. At the end of the course, you take two official exams: the German Test for Immigrants (DTZ) and the "Life in Germany" test. Upon successful completion of both exams, you receive the official "Integration Course Certificate," which documents your language competence and your knowledge of the country.
Our experienced teachers use modern teaching methods tailored to the special needs of adult learners. The lessons combine communicative exercises, grammar instruction, listening comprehension training, and written tasks. Special emphasis is placed on the practical applicability of language skills in everyday life. In small learning groups with a maximum of 15 participants, we guarantee intensive supervision and individual support for each course participant.
The integration course is aimed at immigrants who want to live permanently in Germany. A prerequisite for participation is an authorization or obligation from the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF). EU citizens and German nationals with a migration background can also participate under certain conditions. No prior knowledge of the German language is required - the course starts at beginner level and leads you step by step to the desired language level.
The integration courses take place exclusively in our modern training center in Duisburg. Consultation and formal registration for the course take place in person at our institute after you have submitted your online registration. Our team will be happy to advise you on all questions regarding the course, funding, and required documents.
With a valid authorization or obligation to participate, the BAMF covers half of the course fees amounting to €2.29 per teaching unit. The remaining half of the costs is borne by the participant. In case of proven financial need, an application for complete fee exemption can be made. In this case, the BAMF covers all course fees. Certain groups of people, such as recipients of unemployment benefits II or social assistance, are automatically exempt from costs. We will be happy to advise you on individual funding options and support you with the application.
The course fees include all learning materials, the use of the classrooms, and administrative support throughout the entire course. Not included are the fees for the final exams, which must be paid separately at the examination center. With regular participation and successful completion, part of the course fees can be reimbursed under certain conditions.
