Who can attend the german language Intensive Course?
The aim of the german language Intensive Course is at students who find it rather easy to acquire a second language. The participants have already enjoyed a higher standard of education in their home country and therefor demonstrate a very high level of qualification and education. The course contains a total of 430 lessons. Each participant has a total of 660 lessons available. This means that a participant who has not passed the final exam, which he or she takes after 430 lessons, is eligible to retake the test after the 660 lessons has been exhausted.
What are the goals of the intensive course?
The aim of the course is to speak and write German on a B1 level within 400 lessons of the language course. Level B1 describes the advanced language usage according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Participants in an intensive course learn much faster and efficient than the participants in the regular integration course. The orientation course follows the language course with only 30 lessons.
What does the course cost?
The course includes 430 lessons (including orientation course). With 1.95 € per lesson, the total cost is 838.50 €. The costs for the course may be covered if the participant receives unemployment benefit II or social assistance. If the spouse has a regular income, 50% of the costs will be reimbursed.
