Objectives of the Course

The technical courses at L.A.N.E.S. are custom tailored to cater the candidates professional requirements. Accordingly, the “Fundamentals Robotics & Automation” course is designed with an aim to lay a strong foundation with below mentioned objectives:
The course wants to introduce students to theoretical and practical aspects of the robotics.  After this course students should know different applications of robotic systems as well as to be able to describe mechanical structures of Robot and its Electronic systems. They should also be familiar with the involved mathematics and with the simple Kinematics of robot systems. This course includes rigorous exercises on Arduino and its implementation for different robotics applications.

Course Duration

This course requires a total of 60 hours of training which includes both teaching and practical exercises.

Course Schedule

This course is conducted on daily basis i.e. from Monday to Friday. The timings of the respective batch can be obtained from office.

Course Description

This course is meant for beginners, encompassing the sub-topics as mentioned below:

Week 1

Introduction to Robotics and UAV, Components of a Robot, Basic laws of Mechanics and physics, Concepts of Microcontroller, Basic Electronics, Getting familiar with Arduino, First step towards usage of Arduino and its installation, Starting up with simple projects using LED’s.

Week 2

Describing Motion , Kinematics , Analysis of links, Types of Motor and applications, Sensors and Switches, Introductory projects towards Robotics using the components like stepper motor and Servo Motor.

Week 3

Describing Motion, Kinematics, Analysis of links (Contd) , Computation of motor requirements, Projects involving Implementation of Arduino for different applications of Robot.

Week 4

Engineering Drawing, Introduction to wireless system (IOT), Projects involving Implementation of Arduino for different applications of Robot (Contd).


Training Method

Training method includes both class room sessions and hands on sessions. From past experience it has been tried and tested that hands on sessions helps students to learn the technical aspects much better way than only in the class room sessions. So you will do more projects to strengthen your basic skills in Robotics. You will have your separate computer system, an Arduino kit and a robot.
